Hi, I'm David Reid. Together with my wife Katie, and a number of other friends and family committed to the vision of starting a church to reach and disciple West Georgia, God has grown the vision you are reading about.
I grew up in West Georgia, halfway between Bowdon and Carrollton. I attended Antioch Baptist Church for over twenty years beginning at age three. There, I learned the Scriptures and was saved at age eleven. I am forever grateful for the love and grounding in my faith that I received there.

I attended Georgia Tech after high school to study Mechanical Engineering, earning my bachelor's degree from there in 1995. I worked as an Industrial Engineer for Michelin Tire Corporation for four years after Georgia Tech. After you work in a tire plant, you can never walk through a parking lot again without noticing people's tires.
I met Katie Corsini from Marietta, Georgia in 1993 through Campus Crusuade for Christ. She was a Secondary Math Education major at Kennesaw College while I was at Georgia Tech. God truly sent her to me. A very mature believer, she has been the perfect partner to tackle life with.
Katie and I have been married for several years, and God has taken us through several adventures. The largest of these was when I felt God calling me to Dallas Theological Seminary. She sensed God's leading as much as I did and sacrificially committed to delay starting a family and teach so that I could devote myself to studying full time.
Katie and I enjoy rappelling, canoeing, home improvement projects, yard sales, and most of all, hanging out with friends. We love to have fun, and we look forward to developing deeper relationships in West Georgia.
Our journey has been much like yours, I'm sure. High highs and sometimes low lows. Through it all, God has always loved and provided for us. As well, He as grown in us an absolute passion for changing lives in West Georgia. Colossians 1:28-29 has become my life verse: "And we proclaim Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, that we may present every man complete in Christ. And for this purpose also I labor, striving according to His power, which mightily works within me." Paul captures here the primary objective of his life, to mature disciples for Jesus Christ, and the source of the strength of his effort, the Holy Spirit working in him. This is my highest desire for my life as well. As the church planter and pastor of Peachtree Community Church, I invite you to join with us to "present every man complete in Christ!"
